Welcome to a New Way of Thinking

After several months of individual blogging, my dear brother-in-Christ, Tony Harris, and I have decided to join forces and start a combined blog. This is going to be a place where honest talk on big issues meets love and God's grace. This will not be a shallow, saccharine forum. I can promise you it will be very open, transparent, and appropriately controversial.

God has been working in both of our lives in tremendous ways since we met at an InterVarsity camp called "Rockbridge". We were both struck at Rockbridge by how important racial, social, and economic reconciliation is, as well as learning to call people out in God's love. Ever since our friendship began, we have a bond of accountability that will never be broken. God has blessed me richly with his friendship, and our brotherhood is something I cherish tremendously. I hope you will learn a lot from our feeble words and our everlasting bond in His glory.

In case you are wondering, the name of the blog is an homage to the Calvinist idea of the TULIP: Total depravity, unconditional election, limited atonement, irresistible grace, and perseverance of the saints. These are the core theology of Reformed beliefs. But our beliefs are growing and changing as we dive deeper into His grace. Our beliefs are more complex than just one acronym. God is gracious and good, and through His mercy we will continue to mature. Please join us in this honest discussion of theology, both deep and practical. Welcome to a new way of thinking!

God Bless,
Tim Nicodemus and Tony Harris
